Description

Narrated by a fictional Miguel de Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote, ¿¡Revolución!? deftly and creatively peels back the layers of Venezuela?s Hugo Chavez and his inspirational but controversial Bolivarian Revolution.

Featuring pro-Chávez and anti-Chávez militants, politicians and citizens, within and without the barrios of the oil-rich nation, the film is both an exploration of the challenges and contradictions of the current Venezuelan experiment of building a 21st century socialism, and a journey encompassing revolutions past and future.

In major part a positive account of the revolution, the film also raises important questions about how the situation could easily spin out of control through the passions of a hotly divided nation and Chávez' desire to hang onto power.
