"A truly excellent film."

"One of those rare creatures in modern media: A Sept. 11 study stripped of politics and partisanship. It's the anti-'Fahrenheit 9/11'!"

Paul F.P. Pogue, NUVO Newsweekly

Out of the grieving thousands left behind on September 11th, a small group of activist families emerged to demand answers. In 9/11 Press For Truth, six of them (including three of the famous "Jersey Girls") tell for the first time the powerful story of how they took on the powers in Washington-and won!-compelling an investigation, only to subsequently watch the 9/11 Commission fail in answering most of their questions. The families eventually found an ally in Paul Thompson. Dissatisfied with the incomplete picture of September 11th presented in most news reports, Thompson became a citizen journalist of sorts. He stitched together thousands of rare overlooked news clips, buried stories, and government press conferences into a definitive Complete 9/11 Timeline (published by Harper Collins as The Terror Timeline). Press For Truth is adapted in part from his acclaimed work, which revealed to the families a very different picture of the road that led to the attacks and the resulting War on Terror, one that still today raises important and pressing questions.

Director's Statement

On June 2nd, 2006, Bob McIlvaine sent us an email after screening a rough cut of '9/11 PRESS FOR TRUTH'. Bob, who lost his son Bobby in the World Trade Center, is the man who memorably closes the movie in tears saying, "I'm so pissed off at the American people. I'm so pissed off at this government... because of this coverup!"

His email to us read as follows:

"I just finished watching your documentary. I'm actually shaking from not only the emotional impact but also the thought that the people of the United States might see it. My neighbor watched it with me, and I truly believe she was stunned and speechless. Every high school, college and university should have a copy of this documentary... It is imperative that the world know the truth about 9/11.

Forever grateful,

Bob McIlvaine
Father of Bobby."

No positive review, no festival award, no piece of recognition for this movie could ever mean as much to me as Bob's email. It was our hope from the outset of production that the movie might serve in some small way as a tool for certain 9/11 families to use in their continuing mission to uncover the truth about the death of their loved ones -- and bring that truth to the American public. I only hope that Bob's wish is granted that "the people of the United States might see it".

The central premise of Loose Change is that the United States Government was, at the very least, criminally negligent in allowing the attacks of September 11th, 2001 to occur.

However, when one looks deeper into the evidence, one might come to the startling conclusion that our own government might have been directly responsible for the attacks themselves.

Loose Change merely scratches the surface of information that points to a massive government cover-up regarding 9/11. We highly encourage you to take it upon yourself to research the events of 9/11 for yourself and come to your own conclusions.
