General Manager Wanted!

In addition to being passionate about the arts and experienced in planning major events, the successful candidate must have a proven record in:

  • Hiring, motivating and overseeing a diverse team.
  • Creating and successfully managing large budgets.
  • Recruiting and procuring sponsorship agreements.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the media and our sponsors.
  • Coordinating volunteers and community outreach.

  • The ability to multi-task and to set and meet deadlines are an important part of this job, so outstanding communication and organizational skills are a must. Proficiency in Word and Excel is required. Grant writing experience is an asset. The General Manager collaborates with the Program Director in planning the festival and will report to the Board of Directors. This is a full-time, 9 month contract position with the possibility of renewal.

    Salary: 27k to 32k.
